Reflectionism is both a philosophy of life as well as a philosophy of art. Both are based on the Reflection Theory which states that whatever energy one puts out or exudes, it is mirrored or reflected back from the universe. In other words, what you think is what you get. A Reflectionist artist is aware of and observes the effects of the Reflection Theory, as they emanate their energy, whether positive or negative, and capture the effect in their art. They respond to emotions which in turn stimulate their senses, bodies, and thoughts as they observe their environment and become fully engaged in the moment.
Just as the Impressionists captured the fleeting effects of light in nature and contemporary life, the Reflectionists now capture the ephemeral effect of the moment in its entirety. Not content with simply recording the physical envelope of light and how it is seen, Reflectionists record the entire envelope of life and how it is experienced through all of the senses. Whether in painting, music, dance, or any other form of expression, a Reflectionist's art is a mirror of those infinite series of moments.
