Midnight Series

The inspiration behind my Midnight series began with a simple request from a client to create a classic floral painting, but with a twist. Traditionally, my florals feature neutral or bright backgrounds, but this time I experimented with a deep, dark backdrop. When I completed the first piece, I was pleasantly surprised by how dramatically the bold colors of the flowers popped against the darkness. The striking contrast was captivating. Inspired by this effect, I felt compelled to explore it further, which led to an entire series of vibrant florals and abstracts set against rich, moody backgrounds. I call this collection my Midnight series, a name that reflects the depth and contrast that distinguish it from my brighter works."
